The ChoyBrown Low-Down: Supplier Agreements

"Lowdown"

When you need to get to the point of something. This word is commonly used when you are trying to use 'hip' words with your friends so you won't seem like a complete loser.

Jack: So what do you want to do on Friday?

Lindsay: I have no clue Jack, give me the lowdown on what you would like to do?

Jack: Lindsay you're so hip! Teach me your ways.

On the 6th of February 2015 we will be hosting an intimate workshop focused on contract basics and common red flags in supplier agreements. In this full day event, Jane Brown (our Principal lawyer) will be guiding you through what makes a contract, the starting point of who owns what when it comes to IP, as well as pointing out some common clauses that creatives should be wary of. The aim of the workshop is to give attendees the skills to identify red flags in their contracts with clients, enabling them to more effectively brief legal advisors and/or raise these issues with clients where legal advice may not be an option.

Lunch and afternoon tea will be provided, as well as seminar materials to help make the skills part of your daily practice. Due to seating limitations, we can only accept the first eight people. Please register using the form on the right hand side of this page.
